Mail, Slack, Notion, Cursor, Safari: if you can place a cursor in it, you can dictate into it. No per-app setup.
Aqua listens at up to 230 words per minute and refines as you speak, so the text that lands is the text you meant.

Avalon, the model inside Aqua Voice, scores 97.3% on AISpeak, our public benchmark of AI and technical vocabulary. Whisper Large v3, the leading open-source speech model, scores 65.1% on the same test. Trained on real technical speech, it lands the words generic models miss: names, code, and commands like kubectl or git checkout. At its October 2025 debut, Avalon ranked #1 among proprietary models on the public OpenASR leaderboard.
AISpeak measures word accuracy on speech full of AI and technical terms, the vocabulary generic models miss most.

@usutaku_channel
I used to think Mac’s built-in voice input was convenient enough, but after trying Aqua Voice, there’s no going back. The accuracy and overall experience are just on another level.

@t_blom
I've been using Aqua Voice for the last few months and it's awesome. Talking with your computer beats typing.

@johnlindquist
Switching to @aquavoice_ as my default dictation app. Loving the "real-time" mode.

@renkon40
There’s no going back. The shock of Aqua Voice turning voice input into a “weapon.” I can’t use Mac’s standard voice input anymore.

@kurage313book
While researching voice input on Note, I came across an article praising an app called Aqua Voice. I decided to give it a try, and it completely blew me away. I was so impressed I subscribed immediately.

@annasofialesiv
so @aquavoice_ is completely changing how I write — it's by far the most convenient speech-to-text product I've ever used

@ProductHunt
"Every single comment I've made on Forums this week has been done with @aquavoice_ " - Product Hunt's Head of Product Operations.

@gkossakowski
I find @aquavoice_ ’s voice dictation excellent for vibe coding. The effectiveness of vibing scales with how much context you can feed into the LLM. You can speak 3–4x more words per minute than you can type, and Aqua nails the low-friction experience voice needs to actually work.

@kwindla
I have given many, many, many demos. I've been on stage at TED. I went to grad school at a place where the more-or-less official motto was "demo or die." @finnatsea 's mic drop moments in his @aquavoice demo are right up there with the best demos I've seen.

1,000 free words is about 7 minutes of talking at a normal pace. No credit card required.
Yes. There are native builds for both. The download button grabs the Apple Silicon build, and the Intel build is linked right under it. One subscription also covers Windows and iPhone.
Built-in dictation types the words it hears. Aqua types the sentence you meant: punctuated, formatted, and accurate on names and technical terms, in every app you use. We published a side-by-side comparison with Apple's built-in dictation so you can see the difference on real passages.
Aqua processes audio in the cloud, where the Avalon model runs; there is no offline mode. Our security practices are independently audited (SOC 2 Type II), and Team plans add an org-wide Privacy Mode.
The free Starter allowance is your test drive: 1,000 words is about 7 minutes of talking at a normal pace. When you hit it, upgrade to Pro for $8/mo billed annually to keep dictating without limits.
Open the file, drag Aqua Voice to Applications, and grant microphone and accessibility permissions when macOS asks. That is how Aqua types into your other apps. From there: hold the key, talk, release.
That is your call to make, and this page gives you the evidence: 97.3% accuracy on the AISpeak benchmark, real-time typing in every Mac app, and a side-by-side comparison with Apple's built-in dictation. Your first 1,000 words are free, so you can judge it on your own vocabulary before paying anything.
Aqua supports 49 languages, with the same real-time dictation experience as English.
